I’m Karin. I come from the German speaking part of Switzerland.
I’d worked there as a primary school teacher for several years and was then allowed to take an educational holiday. So I came over to Australia to attend the CAE Preparation Course at QCE.
Right now I’m in the midst of the real exam (FCE & CAE) and I hope it will work out well for me…. KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED
Despite starting three weeks later, I feel well prepared. It is all thanks to the brilliant teachers I had. Many thanks to Jacque (core teacher), Vicky, Faye, Genesio, Erika and Amanda, who was my teachers for one week FCE… Well, this is a fairy tale start. I had enrolled for both exams and the FCE course but after the first week and a full exam day, Jacque and Faye asked me to change class. You see, this is how the teachers here look after their students’ success.
Apart from the high-quality staff I made good friends here. Laughter in class and shared leisure activities were our daily companion. It’s pretty much easier to learn together with friends. What impressed me most was that people from different culture, ages and personality could get along so easily.
Finally, I’d like to send over a smile to all the people at QCE. It was a great time there. I will always remember Brisbane as a city where anything can happen!

I studied 12 weeks and have just graduated from GEOS QCE. Now I can say to myself “I CAN SEE THE CHANGE”.
Before I came to Australia, I always felt some frustration because I couldn’t say my own ideas in English. Even though I spoke some English, once the conversation moved on to deeper topics, I found difficulties to express my own opinion and finally gave up speaking English.
Now that I have finished the 12-week course, I notice that I am used to discussing many things – the frustration has totally gone! It is amazing. Thank you, QCE. I’ve met many friends and we’ve talked about many things. Administration Staff are always kind and warm and I’ve had terrific teachers. It’s my goal to be like them one day. They have motivated me a lot! I really appreciate them.
I have been fortunate enough to get a position as a tour guide in the Gold Coast. I will try very hard. Thank you so much for everything.

I’ve been studying in IELTS class for nearly 2 months and I think that this was the best choice that I’ve done since I started studying at QCE. I say that because the classes are dynamic, interesting and modern and, honestly, I find it much better than General English.
I’ve been able to improve my skills a lot. We practise a lot of reading with modern texts, lots of speaking (my communication has get much better), listening and writing and as we have tests every week, I know if I’m getting better or not.
The only problem is that we have an awful teacher. NO, I’m just kidding! Vicki, the teacher knows how to conduct a class and don’t let it be boring or tiring.
As you might be thinking, the IELTS class is not only for those who intend to do the IELTS exam (I probably will not take the exam) but, also, it’s for people that are interested in learning English in a different way, talking and communicating a lot. Certainly, I’m not going to regret my choice of joining this class.

Hi, my name is Aline, I’m from France and I will tell you about my short dreamtime at this school.
I have been studying at QCE in English for Tour Guiding (ETG) for more than 6 weeks and I think that it was the best choice I’ve made because I took the opportunity available to me.
I’ve been able to improve my skills a lot, obviously in speaking and I really appreciate the kindness of my teachers.
It was really interesting to learn about “tourism” in a different country because I passed an exam in France in Tourism as well.
I can’t believe that it’s already time to finish at QCE. Time flows so fast! Obviously when you have a lot of fun!
Don’t waste your time! Enjoy your new life in Brisbane at QCE! And Good Luck for your future.

When I was coming to Brisbane I was very excited to meet new people, any just the fact to travel, as travelling is such a wonderful experience that makes me happy, for many reasons like knowing Australian culture for example: food, climate, customs, language and many other things.
Australia has lots of similar places to Mexico, for instance the beaches are as beautiful as there, and the climate is pretty close to Mexican. One thing I’m enjoying the most is my freedom but at the same time I have more responsibilities like work, school, house maintenance etc.
I’ve met many friends from all over the world and this is just fantastic, and some day I will go to visit them.
I would like to learn to surf someday soon, and I think Australia is one of the best places to do it, so after finishing at QCE I want to try it.
Australia is the best place for young people in all the world, and I love Aussie girls, they’re Hot!!

Now, I’m very glad, because I didn’t know that I would write this!
I’ve been studying just for 3 weeks in the IELTS class but already I knew this class is nice.
At first I didn’t know about IELTS at all so I felt very nervous and a bit scared. But this class has a very friendly teacher and students that is why I like the class a lot.
Actually when I was in the General course, I didn’t study hard, just I thought I had to study more and more.. But it was just thinking, I couldn’t do it.
However, the IELTS Class makes me study hard. Because everyone does very well in IELTS. And I would rather learn more English more than before.
Now I’ve just got nervous about the real IELTS test. But I believe that I will be fine with this class. I had to be a student in the IELTS class sooner or later. But it’s ok. I am still studying and learning something today also.
So, I like my class
I feel always grateful for QCE. Because I never regret to study in QCE. And I am sure that your choice is the best as well as for me
